The festival began in 2026 under the auspices of author J.V.Phaure and her bookshop “Chapters”. With the hope of it steadily growing to become one of the foremost independent literature festivals on the Essex/Suffolk borders and run by an independent bookshop.
The festival prides itself on having a diverse range of events including storytelling, panels, workshops, author talks, masterclasses and book signings along with other creative arts.
It features all genres from fiction to historical and smaller events for children, including authors with a wealth of knowledge in mindfulness.
The festival is privileged to host a wonderful range of authors, artists and illustrators and more. It boasts a selection of established to up-and-coming authors, traditional, indie and hybrid.
